The Navy Department plans to force the Navy and Marines to cooperate more, eventually merging much of their administrative and support functions. Navy Secretary Richard Danzig is for more exchanges of personnel between the two sea services so that they will be able to operate together in wartime. There will be many more exchanges of Navy and Marine Corps pilots.--Stephen V Cole
