Israel Military Industries and Primex are jointly offering two Israeli ammunition types for use by the new medium brigades. These are the M426 armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding-sabot tracer round and the APAM (anti-personnel anti-materiel) round which passes over the target and drops four explosive submunitions. The M426 uses a tungsten penetrator, which is more politically acceptable than American depleted uranium ammunition if somewhat less effective.--Stephen V Cole
