Boeing is working up plans to offer lease deals on F-18E/F Super Hornet fighters including all logistical support. This would allow prospective customers to keep their costs low and fixed, stretching the cost of the fighters over decades. Boeing says that with the changes in the international security picture and declining defense budgets around the world, it is necessary to consider new ideas to put their products into the hands of customers.--Stephen V Cole
